-Ask store how do your by 1 get 1 free deals work
-Use store sales to decide your weekly meals
-Buy feature items
-Stock up on beef/chix/fish
-Bakery mark down table
-Buy 2 or 3 copies of Sunday paper for coupons
-Print coupons from your compter
-Get together with others & swap coupons
-Get debit card or cc that give rewards
-Go to places that don’t cost anything
-Pay off one debt and use that pmt towards another debt to pay off
-Shop for deals/discounts

Is the Military paying our Soldiers enough?

Everyone once in a while I will have lunch with military wives and this subject always comes up: "The Military doesn't pay our soldiers enough" And since I'm new to the Army, as an Army Wife, I don't really engage in my "real thoughts." So, I have this blog to do so, here goes.

I'm sick of hearing how the Military doesn't pay our soldiers enough. They "DO" get paid enough. Exactly how many jobs will pay ALL of your health bills, including for the baby makers out there, that by the time they turn 25, they have like 6 kids.

How many companies provide FULL transportation when moving?, To move the ENTIRE family. Load and unload and give extra money on top of that, for that move. Pay for flights,(if needed)? Then how many decide to NOT take the flight and drive instead and then forget to cancel the flights, because "oh it's ok, the military paid for it" That's Bull Shit!

How many companies give extra money for the soldiers being separated from their families?

How many companies will pay 100% of a spouses college?

When the soldier is deployed and gets R&R, they will fly that soldier anyway...Germany, Hawaii, home, etc...

Other benefits include discounts everywhere. For instance, Disneyworld, The Soldier Salute is giving ALL Soldiers FREE, Yes FREE 5 day passes into Disneyworld, and the spouses, children, etc, up to 5, get the tickets for 99.00 and the Disney Teheme hotels, the Military Discount for that is 40% off the rooms.

Should I keep going on as to why I don't think that the Military is not paying our soldiers enough?

I did ask a question one day to a spouse. "Why do these young spouses keep having kids?" I was told "for the money"

The list goes on. And I know people are going to have different opinions on this, but this is MY blog and MY opinion. I feel that the Military does a lot for the soldiers and their families. Yes, I know they go and put their lives on the line, but if you think about it, we do this every day, when walk out our door.

I'm going to continue to ask more questions from other spouses and I will up date this post as I do. And I might have more thoughts on this subject to add.

I'm curious what others thoughts are on this???
